It's been a while!! November 4. 2008
Well what can I say? Life gets busy sometimes and you forget to update your blog.
The school year started with a bang. We are now at the end of our first quarter and seems like it was a blur. Jeff was gone for the first 8 weeks of school so that was an added challenge to say the least. We made it through and so did he as he is now a Warrant Officer. I am so proud of him!
Ian is running and talking up a storm. He has now cut his last eye teeth. He has a full mouth of chompers now. He loves to play outside and to help mommy unload the dishwasher. He amazes me more and more each day.
Probably the biggest update I have is that we will finally be getting married in the church. The annulment is in its final stages and will hopefully be approved. We have set the date as July 11th. We are slowly getting everything reserved and planned. We are so very excited to share our celebration with all of our friends and family. Hope to see you all there!
Be sure to go to the polls and vote on this historic day in our nations history!!
Enjoy the upcoming holiday season.
With love,
Beth

Is it Spring yet? March 19. 2008
Life is going so fast lately. We are very excited to hunt for our first Easter eggs this weekend. Ian is doing well. He now has 6 teeth, and is walking everywhere he can hold on to something. It is only a matter of time until he can walk unassisted. I think we will be in trouble then.
He is eating pretty much everything we put in front of him. We are so lucky to have such an amazing kiddo!! Work is going well. I can't believe I only have around 2 months until summer. I am so excited to be home with Ian all summer but I will miss my students. I am however, excited to do some stuff around the house this summer. I have several walls I would like to paint and just start putting more of a personal touch on our home. Otherwise Jeff is still going strong at WOCS and we are ready for him to be done but he has a lot of time away from home to complete before it's all over.
Once Jeff teaches me to update our picture page I will post many more pictures of the family but until then enjoy these.
Happy Resurrection Day!

Happy Resurrection Day!
Ready for Spring! February 18. 2008
It's February already! I can't believe how quickly the last 9 months have gone. That's right Ian is already 9 months old! He is actively crawling everywhere, and any chance he gets he is standing up and walking around holding on to stuff. He is so mobile it's crazy! He is also cutting two new bottom teeth and is quite the biter. I love every minute watching him grow and develop.
Jeff has started Warrant Officer School and is excited for the challenge ahead. He recently went to San Diego on a business trip and he enjoyed that. However, while he was gone Ian and I came down with influenza. I had influenza A and Ian had influenza B. We were both home sick the whole week Jeff was gone. Needless to say we missed him a lot! Everyone is healthy now and we are back into the swing of things. In fact Jeff and I celebrated our 6th year together this month. I can' t believe it has been that long. We have more family pictures on Saturday so I should be posting some new pictures soon.
Take care.

Happy New Year!!! January 5. 2008
What an exciting time! The start to another year! I can't wait to see what this year has in store for the Geiger clan. Jeff is doing well and is at his first Warrant Officer Candidate School drill in Ashland this weekend. Ian is almost 8 months old! I can't believe it! He FINALLY cut his top two teeth that he has been working so hard on, and has got the Army crawl down pat. Soon he will be on all fours and I won't be able to keep up. I am preparing to return to school after a glorious 2 week break. My second graders are so great and I really love being at St. Joseph's. The holiday season was a great time for us. I saw all of my siblings this year which was awesome. Mom really enjoyed having all 7 of us home. We also saw the Geiger's and had a surprise visit from my dear friend Joe who is back from Iraq. We are really loving our new house and it feels like home to us. Life continues to be busy and hectic at times but we are doing well and feel very blessed. May 2008 bring many blessing to everyone!

5 Months October 23. 2007
What can I say besides he is pretty awesome! I haven't updated the website in a while because I have been VERY busy. The school year started and is now going in full force. We are slowly getting everything unpacked into the new house, but we are very happy to be in our first home. It's almost Thanksgiving and Ian is getting so big. We have a lot of big events coming up, like his first Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. We are very excited!
Ian is now about 5 1/2 months old, and as of tonight he weighs right around 22 lbs. He is officially out of his carrier car seat and wearing clothes size 6-9 months. He cut his first two teeth on October 4th (Dad's birthday), and is currently working his hardest to cut a few more. He can sit up on his own and roll over now. We think its only a matter of time until he starts to crawl. Overall he is pretty great! Stress can be high at times balancing my new classroom and being a new mom but I truly am loving it. I really can't complain we are very blessed.

6 weeks already!! June 24. 2007
Holy Cow!! I can't believe it has been 6 weeks already! Ian is doing well. He is probably around 14-15 lbs and 25 inches long. He loves to eat so he is a growing boy! He is watching everything and is definitely smiling and cooing all the time. Jeff and I are pretty pleased with him and have decided he is a keeper
We are very blessed and love Ian very much. Check out his latest pics, just click on the link below.

Ian Jeffrey Geiger May 18. 2007
Ian Jeffrey Geiger
Born May 12th, 2007 at 8:50am
10 lbs 2 oz
He was delivered at St. Elizabeth's hospital by c-section. After 14 hours of labor it was determined he was not going to fit so he couldn't come out on his own. The doctor said he would be playing for the Huskers by this fall when he came out. He is healthy and big and we love him very much! He only wakes up once a night and is a very good eater. We are very blessed. Can't wait for you to meet him. To see him just click on the link.

Is it time yet? April 11. 2007
My patience is wearing thin to say the least. I am ready to meet him already! I am currently at 36 weeks and we will find out on the 24th whether or not we are looking at going early. He continues to grow bigger and bigger by the day. I am going to the doctor at least 3 times a week now for non-stress tests and check ups to make sure he doesn't out grow his placenta. He's a gonna be a BIG Boy! Jeff and I are getting really excited and I am ready to NOT be pregnant
Overall there is nothing I can complain about it has been a great pregnancy and we have been very fortunate. In other news I will be signing a contract next week with St. Joseph's School to be a 2nd grade teacher next year. So everything is falling into place nicely. We are so blessed.
Holy Baby!!! March 14. 2007
We had another ultrasound yesterday. This one was to find out if the Geigersaurus is getting too big. Well at 32 weeks he already weighs a whopping 5 lbs 8 oz. He still has about 8 more weeks to grow! There is not particular reason why he is so big he is just an over achiever
We will monitor him fairly closely in the coming month to make sure he isn't getting stressed or out growing the placenta. Otherwise all is well in baby land he is just huge!

Time Goes Quickly February 21. 2007
Wow it's already the end of February! Well we are 29 weeks along now and all is well. We took our diabetes test this week and we are diabetes free which is a good feeling! I also recieved my shot to prevent any issues in Rh factor since I have A- blood type. So we took care of a few things this week. As far as Geigersaurus, he is busy kicking away most of the day. I am just getting over a cold but am feeling better day by day. We have also set the date for the Baby Shower! March 17th, mark it down. I can't believe we only have 11 more weeks until Geigersaurus makes his big enterance and I can hardly wait! I think it is going to take FOREVER! He will be here soon enough I am sure!

The Next Step January 23. 2007
Well I have finished my student teaching! As of Friday January 19th, my time as a student teacher at St. Joseph's was complete. Now I am substituting. Today I already find myself back in the classroom on my first substitution assignment. Who knew 6th grade Math and Science could be so exciting! It is a new experience to be finally done being a "student" and now to be an official teacher is pretty great. Overall everything else is going well. Baby is well and Jeff and I have started our birthing classes. We both seem to be enjoying them very much. We have a check-up with our Midwife on Monday, and are looking forward to the beginning of our third trimester at the beginning of February. Otherwise all is well in the Geiger household.

How much stuff does a baby need? January 3. 2007
Well Jeff and I have completed the adventure of making the baby registry. We went ahead and just registered at Target (www.target.com) WOW I always knew that there was a lot of stuff you had to get for your first baby, but holy cow it can be a little overwhelming. I am sure I will learn as I go that there are certain things that are "must haves" and other things that are not needed at all. So any heads up from you already mothers out there just let me know
Other than that this months check up went well. Geigersaurus is well and kicking! There is some debate as to if I am 22 weeks or 23 weeks along. Calculations say 22 weeks measurement says 23 weeks. Place your bets.

Update December 20. 2006
Life is going well for Jeff and I. I have successfully graduated from UNK and am finishing up my student teaching. It will be a sad day when I have to leave St. Josephs School however I do hope to substitute there. The baby is doing well and you can check all the updates for baby under Baby News. I am officially being kicked now so the baby is making its presence know nightly:) Other than that I am ready for a little rest and relaxation over Christmas break. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year!
